I love this recipe that my friend and trainer, Karen McCoy, shared with me. It’s super easy recipe that you can cook at home in the over, or throw on the grill.

If the thought of steak freaks you out because of the price, here are a few budget-friendly options that you can try with this recipe:

  • Chuck Eye
  • Flat Iron
  • Flank Steak (this one is best cooked a bit rarer)
  • Tips (make this into a stir fry using tips or stir-fry meat)

I like to serve this with Crack Broccoli and possible a sweet potato for a full meal, but you could easily convert to a stir fry, cook in a Crock Pot and serve with grains or bread. Get creative!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
  2. Whisk together first 4 ingredients. Reserve 1/4 cup and set aside.
  3. Brush both sides of steaks with remaining marinade and let stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat burner to medium high and pan-fry steaks until browned on both sides.
  5. Place pan with steaks in oven for 5 minutes (make sure handle is oven-safe).
  6. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Just before serving, pour reserved marinade over top.
